Job description

Job Description and Duties

The Information Systems Division (ISD) California Departmental of Social Services (CDSS) is seeking critical thinkers who can identify and improve Information Technology (IT) operations, are highly motivated self- starters, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. If you enjoy collaborating with IT partners to find ways to streamline and automate processes to make them more efficient, this is the perfect position for you.The ServiceNow Developer will use a systematic approach to analyzing departmental processes, identifying opportunities, and implementing improvements via the ServiceNow platform. They will closely interact with various levels of ISD leadership, IT staff, customers, vendors, and subject matter experts throughout the department to research, analyze, and evaluate processes, as well as identify methods for improvement. The primary duties of the IT Associate include aiding in the implementation of solutions while supporting the operation and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. This includes research, development, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and iterative improvement of business application services. The IT Associate will work as part of a scrum team.

Telework / Remote Work Information : This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. Working Conditions

This work location is very convenient! The CDSS is located two blocks from the light rail and public transportation : within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.

Special Requirements

  • Please describe your experience or role in the creation, development, configuration, or administration of automated workflows or cloud platforms such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, Power Automate, Access, Excel, or any other similar systems.

This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
