Title : Furniture Assembly Lead
Location : Farmers Branch, TX - Near Dallas
Salary : $47,000-$52,000
Hours : Mon-Fri 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm + Weekends as needed
About : We are seeking a skilled and motivated bilingual Lead Furniture Assembly Team Member to oversee and coordinate our assembly team specializing in indoor and outdoor furniture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furniture assembly, leadership abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform assigned projects as communicated from the Production Manager
Lead and supervise the furniture assembly team to achieve production goals.
Train and mentor team members on assembly techniques and safety protocols.
Inspect assembled products for quality and adherence to company standards.
Coordinate workflow and assign tasks based on team strengths.
Collaborate with management to develop assembly schedules and timelines.
Address and resolve issues during the assembly process.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety regulations.
Assist in the assembly of furniture as needed, demonstrating best practices.
Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Fluency in English and Spanish for effective communication.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a
plus.
Proven experience in furniture assembly or a related field (3+ years
preferred).
Ability to know how and use power tools, various clamps, drills and tool sets to
be successful in the role and willingness to learn, develop as new machinery is
being introduced
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical
drawings in both languages.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills in both English and Spanish
Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing setting, particularly regarding outdoor materials.
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture pieces from10 – 100lbs with use of equipment and team lifts as needed, and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
