Job description

We are seeking a disciplined Maintenance Manager with great time management skills to lead our maintenance department. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires the ability to prioritize urgent repairs while maintaining a strict schedule for long-term facility upkeep. You will be responsible for the seamless operation of our guest rooms, commercial kitchen, laundry facilities, and complex mechanical systems (Chillers, Boilers, Swimming Pool).

Compensation:

$80,500

Responsibilities:
  • Efficient Operations: Take full ownership of all hotel equipment. Execute rigorous preventive maintenance (PM) routines and rapid repairs for HVAC/Chiller systems, Boilers, Electrical, and Plumbing. Ensure the Commercial Kitchen and Laundry facilities operate at peak efficiency with minimal downtime.
  • Crisis Management & Safety: Act as the primary lead for all property emergencies (power outages, water leaks, fire safety systems). Lead regular staff training sessions to ensure hotel staff are prepared to act decisively during facility emergencies or system failures.
  • Pool & Spa Maintenance: Ensure consistent water quality and mechanical functionality of the swimming pool and spa areas.
  • Proactive Solutions: Identify facility issues early and provide cost-effective, timely solutions before they impact the guest experience.
  • Administrative Accuracy: Track vendor invoices, manage the department budget, and maintain meticulous logs with high attention to detail.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure maximum productivity across all shifts.
  • Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external contractors, ensuring they meet deadlines and stick to the agreed-upon budget.

Qualifications:
  • Hands-on Technical Expertise: Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair large-scale mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (Chillers/Boilers).
  • 5+ Years Experience: Background in hotel maintenance or large-scale facility management preferred.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong aptitude for paperwork, invoice tracking, and document management. Highly proficient in Email, Microsoft Excel, and web-based programs for reporting and communication.
  • Education: High school diploma required; vocational training is a plus.
