What will your role be?

The Planner is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the flow of production hardware to meet customer commitments. This includes managing orders, materials, and services to ensure on-time delivery. The role also involves identifying problems, recommending solutions, and adhering to project procedures.

Activities :

  • Prepare build books and kitting paperwork for Logistics Technicians
  • Collaborate with Aftermarket, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to manage logistics for the shipment of production and field returns
  • Support the Production Schedule for production hardware, end items, and spares in coordination with buyers
  • Work with the Logistics Coordinator to maintain production bin stock and issue non-production requisitions as needed
  • Monitor production exception reports and address delivery date issues with Purchasing, escalating to the Master Scheduler and management when necessary
  • Build strong working relationships with Operations, Engineering, Programs, and Procurement
  • Oversee cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory tracking
  • Promote company objectives for 100% On-Time Deliveries, Quality, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement
  • Prepare necessary shipping documentation, including packing lists, delivery notes, proforma statements, and customs paperwork
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers regarding shipping schedules, tracking, and delivery inquiries
  • Address and resolve customer complaints related to shipments
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping laws
  • Demonstrate knowledge of export / import regulations, AES filing, and preparing proforma statements

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Planning
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Planner role within the Aerospace industry or high-volume manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • APICS certification or training is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems, particularly SAP and shipping transactions within SAP
