Welder / Fabricator
A premier fabrication company with state-of-the-art equipment, located in Milwaukee is in search for a 1st shift Welder / Fabricator. Union Local 18. We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Welder / Fabricator with a versatile background in working with various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
The successful candidate will be adept at both welding operations and the operation of fabrication equipment, demonstrating proficiency in handling a range of materials to meet diverse project requirements.
Responsibilities :
Work with a variety of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
Operate fabrication machinery such as rollers, brake presses, and hand tools, ensuring precision in shaping and manipulating materials according to project specifications.
Collaborate closely with the fabrication team
Material Preparation - Handle and prepare materials for welding and fabrication, utilizing appropriate tools for cutting, bending, and shaping specific to the characteristics of each material.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG
Inspect welded and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards, tolerances & specs
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Welder / Fabricator, expertise in working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Blueprint Reading : Ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints with consideration for material-specific requirements.
- Certifications : Welding certifications and relevant qualifications are a plus.
