️ About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Fabricator with strong pipefitting and welding experience to join our team. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components and piping systems for industrial and commercial projects. Candidates with boiler or pressure‑vessel experience will be given priority consideration.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures, piping systems, and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication sketches
• Perform high‑quality welding (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW depending on project needs)
• Fit, cut, bevel, and prepare pipe and structural materials
• Assist with installation of piping systems, supports, and equipment
• Operate fabrication tools such as saws, grinders, torches, and layout equipment
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications
• Follow all safety procedures, including hot‑work and confined‑space protocols
• Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, and project supervisors

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a fabricator in industrial or commercial environments
• Strong pipefitting skills, including layout, measurement, and installation
• Proficiency in welding (certifications preferred but not required)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Experience using fabrication tools and shop equipment
• Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in various environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Preferred Skills

• Boiler or pressure‑vessel experience
• Rigging or crane‑signal experience
• Ability to work with stainless steel, carbon steel, or alloy materials
• Familiarity with industrial plant, refinery, or power‑generation environments
• Ability to mentor apprentices or assist with training

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
