Welder fabricator Jobs in Garland, TX

This position operates fabricating machines, tools and equipment such as saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, and punches that cut, shape bend and bond plastic plates, sheets, tubes and structures by performing the following duties below. This position may also operate various machine shop equipment including both CNC and manual Mills and Routers, Lasers, Vacuum Formers, various saws, cutters, and presses, and other shop equipment and tools.

This position may also be required to perform the functions of the Machine Shop Helper job description as needed.

Requirements :

• Must have plastic fabrication experience.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, machine instructions, and written and verbal instructions to execute work orders.
• Must have manual CNC operation experience.
• Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and maintain continual work flow.
• Strong knowledge using shop instruments, such as calipers, gage pins, height gauges, and micrometers to ensure correct dimensions.
• Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks : milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, forming and all bench operations.
• Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to perform the tasks stated above.
• Must be willing to accept and receive supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
• Must be able to operate with minimal supervision once trained by following work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Wear proper safety equipment and comply with company safety rules at all times.
• Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy.
