Salary : WELDER
Reports To : Shop Foreman
Summary / Objective
1. The Welder works in a full-service fabrication shop.
Primary Responsibilities / Functions
1. Read and interpret shop fabrication drawings.
2. Work closely with shop foreman and project managers on detailed requirements for particular
projects.
Required Skills / Attributes
1. Experienced tig welder / fitter
2. Proficient in reading shop drawing required
3. Ability to work in a team or independently
4. Proficient in the setup and operation of basic fabrication tolls
Required Education and Experience
1. Experienced with shop equipment (i.e. bandsaws, polishers, sanders, ironworker, etc.)
2. 3-5 years of practical welding experience in a field or shop environment
Required Certifications / Licenses
1. Certified in a particular weld discipline (i.e. tig, mig, for stainless and mild steel) or working
towards the certification
Position KPIs
1. Work at increasing Weld Certifications not possessed presently
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne
particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration when on a job site or in the shop, and may be exposed
to shop conditions, ongoing construction and various weather conditions The noise level in the work
environment can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The
employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is required to
reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, stand, crouch or
crawl for prolonged periods. The employee must also lift and move up to 50 pounds. The employee is
required to use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. Use muscles to lift, push, pull,
or carry heavy objects.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment
Utilize PP&E in compliance with OSHA standard and per site specific safety programs.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours). Workdays are Monday through Friday, work times are dependent
on department, projects, and supervisors request and approval. Occasional Saturdays can be scheduled
dependent on workload.
