Hartzell is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented machinist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines to produce precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
1) Run Standard operating procedures on multiple axis machines
a. DMG Mori lathes, HAAS lathe / mill
2) Change perishable tooling when required
3) Install new tool holders
4) Follow set up instructions to set up CNC machines
5) Following inspection plans to inspect parts
6) Participate in continuous improvement activities
7) Troubleshoot tooling as required
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree a plus.
Required Technical Competencies
1) Ability to read engineering blueprints
2) Competency in Machining Skills
- Tooling
- Fixturing
- Chucking
- Work holding
- Programming preferred
3) Experience with CNC 3-4 axis mills, as well as CNC lathe machining operation.
4) Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills
5) Excellent workmanship required for this position
6) Maintain an organized, clean working environment
7) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. during machine setup
