Quality Inspector
Job Description
Join a leading manufacturing company specializing in the joining of dissimilar materials, including electrical feedthroughs and opto-electronic windows. We produce ceramic to metal seals, bonds, and packages, and are looking for an Inspector to work on the first shift with a 4/10 schedule from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday. This role offers the opportunity to work with small parts and be trained on our inspection process.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts according to drawings and requirements to ensure conformity.
- Generate non-conforming reports when parts do not meet standards.
- Utilize inspection tools such as helium leak detectors, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Carry out daily and weekly tasks efficiently.
- Assist in troubleshooting and source experts when needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean working area.
- Participate in required company training sessions.
- Conduct detailed inspection of small, precision metallic and ceramic components for medical, defense, and industrial applications.
Essential Skills
- 1-2 years of QC Inspector or medical device experience working with very small parts.
- Ability to work with a microscope.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, blueprints, and instructions.
- Experience with GD&T is highly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace or medical device industries is beneficial.
- Comfortable with a slow and meticulous process, focusing on niche products.
- ITAR compliance.

Work Environment
Work in a semi-clean room environment within a company that has recently expanded by acquiring IJ Research, Inc., now branded under the Hermetics Division. Gloves and appropriate attire are provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
