Are you passionate about advancing your career in the field of non-destructive testing and evaluations (NDT/NDE)? S&ME is looking for a dedicated individual with their Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification to join our team in Wilmington, NC to conduct metals and steel bolt inspections, ensuring the structural integrity of construction projects. If you have a solid background in this field, this role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and advancement.
What You Will Do:
As an NDT/NDE Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) , you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and integrity of our most complex construction projects. The role is ideal for experienced inspectors ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• You conduct inspections and deploy non-destructive testing methods to uphold impeccable quality standards. A significant portion of field inspection time is spent performing non-destructive testing (NDT) duties such as ultrasonic inspection (UT) of welds and/or magnetic particle testing (MT) of welds.
• You juggle testing assignments across projects, contributing to the success of each endeavor.
• Maintain testing equipment in working order and calibration; can include managing field and laboratory equipment inventories, maintaining formal calibration records, and participating in quality systems audits.
• You craft detailed reports to communicate findings effectively.
What You Bring:
• You have a High School Diploma/GED
• You have at least 3 years of metals testing experience or an associate degree
• You have an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• You have achieved ASNT Level II certification per ASNT-SNT-TC-1A in at least one method
• You have Safety, DDC, NDT, and Radiation Training
• You have experience in the use of fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems
