  • Provide expert guidance and technical support to welding personnel, engineers, and project managers on complex welding and quality issues.
  • Troubleshoot welding process problems, such as machine malfunctions or procedural irregularities, to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as the technical leader on welding repairs and the resolution of defects.
  • Oversee and manage the contractor welder qualification and certification program.
  • Train and mentor third-party inspectors on best practices, code requirements, and advanced techniques.
  • Create and deliver training content on welding and fabrication projects for new welders.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all welding procedures, certifications, inspections, and quality metrics.
  • Communicate inspection findings, quality issues, and recommended process improvements to management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all welding activities are performed in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Stay current on industry trends, innovations, and changes to codes and standards to ensure the company's manufacturing and service procedures remain up-to-date.
  • Act as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), as needed, to perform visual inspections of welds throughout the fabrication process and on final products.
