Position Title : Department Manager - Wine Steward
Department : Wine & Spirits
Supervisor : Assistant Branch Manager / Branch Manager
FLSA : Non-exempt (paid by the hour)
Position Summary : Manages the Wine & Spirits department in the branch. Responsible for receiving product, ensuring that aisles are stocked, clean and well-merchandised, following compliance policies and providing helpful customer service.
Key Tasks :
- Follow state laws regarding the wholesale selling of alcohol (Restaurant Depot provides training and sets policies)
- Ensure the department is ready for business
- Keep shelves well-stocked with product
- Build and maintain floor displays to highlight items
- Ensure accurate price tags are posted for each item
- Work with other branch personnel to attract new customers to the department
- Help customers find relevant wine and spirits products to purchase
- Communicate inventory needs and customer requests to buyer
