Our Transportation Engineer would work closely with other members of our team and specialize in the design, analysis, and management of traffic systems to foster safe and efficient movement of motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil is preferred
- Five to 10 years of work experience related to traffic or transportation engineering, operations, or analysis
- Professional Traffic Operation Engineer certification is a plus
- Professional Engineering license is a plus
- Proficient in GIS tools for technical analyses
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams)
- Balances and manages multiple tasks, projects, and schedules
- Promptly responds to project tasks, multiple deadlines, and project task emergencies
- Works effectively in a team setting and function efficiently with others; and, works with accuracy, reliability, resourcefulness, and, good judgment
- Effectively applies breadth of knowledge of the principles and practices of transportation engineering, and design guidelines, criteria, and standards applicable to project locations
- Effectively applies computer applications, such as, CAD programs, spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, email, and team collaboration software
- Able to successfully complete simple to moderately complex design work; interpret plans, specifications, and land descriptions; prepare maps, plans, street alignments and cross-sections.
- Appropriately applies effective written and oral communication skills, including the editing, oversight, and preparation of technical reports, and the presentation of information to clients, government entities, and otherstakeholders
- Valid driver’s license
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
LOCATION : Honolulu, HI
SALARY RANGE : $92,560 – $134,550 per year depending on experience
