We are hiring an Occupational Nurse to manage workplace health and safety programs at a manufacturing facility. Youll handle work related and personal disability cases, ensure compliance with health regulations, and promote employee wellness through specialized programs and education.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate care for workplace injuries and illnesses, including treatment plans and medical services.
Maintain accurate paper and electronic medical records.
Collaborate with HR on leave of absence, workers compensation, and disability programs.
Conduct workplace assessments to identify hazards and recommend safety improvements.
Evaluate employees fitness for duty and manage job accommodations as needed.
Oversee health surveillance programs e.g., hearing conservation, respiratory protection.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, infection control, and biohazard waste procedures.
Develop and deliver training for new hires, supervisors, and employees on health topics.
Administer wellness programs to promote health and reduce risks.
Education and Certification
RN license in Texas; Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health Nursing preferred.
Experience
3 plus years in Occupational Environmental Health Nursing.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical record keeping, case management, and OSHA standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Occupational Health lab equipment.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and customer service skills.
Familiarity with FMLA, Texas Workers Compensation, HIPAA, and privacy laws.
Work Environment
Fast paced clinic office setting with regular interruptions.
Potential exposure to infectious agents; must follow safety protocols.
May lift up to 25 lbs unassisted and work in cleanroom manufacturing areas.
