Position Description
Responsible for preventing, evaluating, treating, and rehabilitating athletic injuries for assigned programs within Texas Tech Athletics. The Associate Athletic Trainer works closely with coaches, physicians, athletic department staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement injury prevention programs and return-to-play protocols.

About the Department and / or College

Major / Essential Functions
- Responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses, as well as the daily operation of the Women's Soccer program.
- Acts in accordance with physician supervision and prescribed treatment plans.
- Record and maintain medical information complying with HIPPA and FERPA.
- Appropriately utilizes injury management software.
- Maintains communication and a cooperative relationship with coaches, administrators, parents, and student-athletes.
- Assists in the administration of the athletic training student program.
- Possesses and complies with appropriate certifications and licensures, including BOC and / or Texas Licensure, CPR, and AED training.
- Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years experience as an athletic trainer. Additional related education may substitute for the required experience on a year for year basis. Must be licensed as an athletic trainer within the United States and be expected to obtain a Texas license or certification.
