Shift Information :

This position is Full-Time, Three 12 hour shifts, Day Shift : 7am-7pm

Currently offering a $15,000 sign on bonus for qualifying full time RNs.

What you will do :

The RN on Women's Services is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient on the unit and planning the nursing care needed to meet those needs, including spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs. Once planned, the RN is responsible to see that the plan of care is carried out through RN's own performance and / or leadership of subordinate personnel. After the plan is implemented and the care provided the patients' response is evaluated both verbally and in writing.

Required Education :

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Education :

Graduate of a BSN program or actively enrolled in one

Required Skills :

Patient Care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Must communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge and ability to perform skills necessary for unit specific competencies, to include age specific competencies.

Preferred Skills :

Advanced competencies as defined by demonstrated participation in formal Continuing Nursing Education activities.

Required Licensure / Registration / Certification :

Current and unrestricted Texas license as a Registered Nurse, Certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

Required Experience :

Eligibility to participate in a new RN Preceptorship program

Preferred Experience :

Six to Twelve months of experience as an RN in an inpatient medical surgical setting.
