This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, navigating resources, and making a real impact-one person at a time.What You'll DoAs a Workforce Expert, you'll be a guide, advocate, and cheerleader for individuals on their employment journey. Your work will include:Supporting clients one-on-one with resumes, mock interviews, job leads, and essential resources like transportation and professional clothingHelping clients create and follow personalized employment plans aligned with their goalsProviding ongoing encouragement and accountability through regular check-insBuilding strong relationships with community partners and local employersStaying in the know about community resources, job opportunities, and social servicesAttending job fairs, networking events, and community meetingsUsing a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that treats every guest with dignity and respectAdvocating fiercely for clients to access the services they needKeeping accurate documentation, case notes, and outcome trackingAuditing resources monthly and collaborating with the Workforce Development Program Manager to keep records accurateSharing one monthly client success story with our Development Team (yes-feel-good moments included!)Participating in quarterly staff meetings and occasional evening or weekend eventsWhat You BringYou might be a great fit if you have:Excellent communication and organization skillsThe ability to work independently and take initiativeStrong advocacy skills and confidence navigating community resourcesA judgment-free approach and comfort working with diverse populationsYour own vehicle, valid driver's license, and current insurance/registrationFlexibility to travel between sites and work occasional evenings/weekendsAbility to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardBonus points if you're bilingual in Spanish!Education & ExperienceBS in Social Work or a related field preferred (but not required)At least 2 years of experience in a related fieldDirect service experience (professional or volunteer) strongly preferredWhy You'll Love Working HereAt The Worker, we believe employment is more than a paycheck-it's dignity, stability, and hope.
