Participates in the assessment, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Wound and Ostomy (WO) Nursing services in clinical areas of the main hospital, including adult and pediatric patients admitted or in the ambulatory centers, in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Nursing and the standards of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN); assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents education needs to ensure high quality WO patient care.
Salary range is $85,196 - $101,197 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications : Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and
2. Board Certification in Wound and Ostomy Nursing (i.e., CWON) from the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing with graduation from an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in Oncology or Wound Ostomy nursing; or
2. Bachelor's degree in a science-related field and an Associate's Degree in Nursing and graduation from an accredited Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Education Program and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in Oncology or Wound Ostomy nursing.
NOTE :
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
