Assist the administration, faculty, and staff of the Clear Creek ISD in developing funding opportunities to support the district strategic plans and related innovative efforts. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education / Certification / Licensure
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or significant relevant grant writing experience
Special Knowledge / Skills
Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills
An understanding of Texas public school curriculum requirements
Strong organization, teaching, and training skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to use word processor to produce grant proposals
Ability to travel district-wide as well as to funding sources and agency representatives
Experience
A minimum of 3 years successful experience in a public school or other educational setting
A minimum of 2 years successful experience in grant writing preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify viable grant sources by networking with other professionals and searching through grant literature.
- Assist in informing interested departments of grant sources.
- Design grant proposals working with program directors, coordinators, and school personnel.
- Assist in the development of timetables, meetings, input, and deadlines to expedite timely grant submission.
- Assist in the collection of data and development of evaluation criteria to measure grant program effectiveness.
- Coordinate and submit timely reporting to funding agencies over the life of the grant.
- Write and edit grant proposals or components of grant proposals.
- Provide technical assistance to other proposal writers as appropriate.
- Write or approve final draft of funding based on input from district sources.
- Work with the appropriate personnel to expedite internal processing of proposals.
- Present the proposal in a manner that will maximize the chance of a funding award.
- Attend meetings with officials of funding agencies to receive information and training in the area of grant procurement and development as deemed necessary by the superintendent or designee.
- Design and conduct grant writing workshops for district employees.
- Assist with compliance documentation and reporting for state and federal programs.
- Manage and utilize data effectively for systemic process and program analysis.
- Account for the accuracy and verification of all student program data and reports.
