SUMMARY

The Foreman position works in conjunction with the Yard Manager, other foreman and operations representatives on coastal / marine based construction projects. Provides direct supervision to craft employees to ensure safe and efficient completion of projects assigned, . Directs the activities of craftspeople in regard to all types of marine construction work  a reliable form of transportation required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Additional duties may be assigned.

• Organizes the work force; assigns, oversees and follows up on performance of work
• Provides leadership direction and motivation of employees
• Establish quality control standards and supervise  implementation
• Keep accurate field notes and produce daily reports
• Assist in the coordination and maintenance of equipment required for the  Yard
• Assist in coordinating, directing, and scheduling the work by subcontractors
• Prepare  weekly payroll correctly cost coded
• Enforce all Federal, State, and Company safety rules
• Assist in the development Work Element Plans, and JSA’s
• Conduct site safety and planning meetings and participate in Near Miss reporting
• Develop / establish checklists for inspections, audits, emergency response, hurricane preparations, etc.
• Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
• Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment
