Paul's Auto Yard is looking for a new member to add to our growing Management team.
Yard working hours : Monday thru Saturday 8am to 5pm
Starting Pay : Depending on Experience
Job Description
The Salvage Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the salvage yard, including managing the inventory of salvaged parts, supervising employees, and ensuring that all safety protocols are being followed. The Manager will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with customers and vendors, as well as marketing the salvage yard to increase business.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Manage the day-to-day operations of the salvage yard, including receiving, sorting, and organizing salvaged parts.
Supervise and train employees to ensure that they are following safety procedures and performing their job duties efficiently.
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement systems to track inventory levels.
Purchase and price incoming inventory to ensure profitability and competitive pricing.
Foster positive relationships with customers and vendors to encourage repeat business and maintain a positive reputation in the industry.
Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase business, such as advertising and social media campaigns.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations.
Competencies
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the salvage yard or related industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of automotive parts and their value.
Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Understanding of financial statements and budgeting.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards.
Physical demands
Standing for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Travel Requirements
As assigned by Executive Management
