Job description

Purchasing Specialist

Location : Dallas / Fort Worth Metro

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000 plus bonus potential

Company Profile : This leading industry manufacturer is looking to hire an eager Purchasing Specialist. This person will support the Commodity Manager in their responsibilities towards all aspects of strategic and tactical sourcing and procurement elements. You need to be able to work in a fast paced environment while taking on a lot of reporting to support cross functional teams in making strategic decisions. This role will help develop the growth path for the procurement team and the overall continuous growth of the organization.

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for the following :

  • Coordinate implementation of projects across multiple plants and supply partners
  • Communicate with buyers at a local level with information concerning suppliers, prices and / or general inquiries / follow ups
  • Support Commodity Manager in identifying and analyzing cost saving projects
  • Investigate pricing / invoicing discrepancies to determine corrective actions with Accounts
  • Support Commodity Manager in implementing quality and cost improvement programs

The Purchasing Specialist Should Have the Following Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • Preferred : 2 years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing
  • Attention to details, well organized and able to multi-task
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on providing solutions
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

    • This role is a full time permanent position, primarily onsite in Dallas, TX
