Job descriptionWelcome Patients with a Smile : Be the friendly face that greets patients, easing their worries and answering their questions. Vitals & Health Checks : Measure and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Assist with Exams : Help doctors with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures. Administer Medications : Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians. Prepare Patients : Get patients ready for their exams, explaining procedures and providing comfort. Manage Patient Records : Keep electronic health records (EHR) updated and organized. Scheduling Superhero : Book patient appointments, follow-ups, and coordinate care. Billing & Coding : Assist with billing, insurance claims, and coding to keep the practice financially healthy. Inventory Guru : Track and order medical supplies to ensure we're always stocked. Patient Education : Teach patients about their conditions, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices. Lab Assistance : Collect and prepare lab specimens for testing. EKG & X-ray Support : Perform basic diagnostic tests like EKGs and X-rays, if trained. Clinical Tidiness : Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment, following infection control protocols. Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification : Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus. Experience : Previous experience in a medical assistant role is awesome but not mandatory-we love fresh talent too! Skills : Tech Savvy : Proficient with EHR systems and office software. Detail-Oriented : Keen eye for accuracy and detail in record-keeping and clinical tasks. Multitasking Marvel : Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities without breaking a sweat.
