Job description

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a school-based Instructional Aide Substitute! Flexible, per diem opportunities are now available for professionals who are passionate about supporting students one-on-one in a structured and nurturing environment.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and social support to students as directed by educators and school staff
  • Assist with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions throughout the school day
  • Support students’ mobility and supervise their engagement in school activities
  • Aid in the implementation of behavioral support plans and follow IEPs or program guidelines
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere
  • Deliver personal care assistance when needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age 18
  • Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting as necessary
  • Clear TB test, and willingness to complete or update district clearances before starting
  • Must maintain current clearances

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
  • Proficiency with supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
  • Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT approaches (a plus, not required)
  • Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
