This position is responsible for the overall data entry and maintenance of Title III and grant funded contingent staff and student contracts into the University's HRIS System.
Responsibilities :
- Receives and enters Title III and Grant funded Contingent I, II, Faculty Overload, Adjunct and student contracts into the HRIS System.
- Coordinates and processes Personnel Transactions including Overloads and contracts for Regular Faculty and Staff, Contractual Faculty and Staff, Adjunct Faculty, and student contracts through Personnel Authorization Consolidation Site (PACS) and Statewide Personnel System (SPS).
- Reviews and responds to requests for employment verifications and general contract questions.
- Performs data updates, reports as appropriate, troubleshoots issues; assists with implementation of new systems and processes.
- Perform verification of salary calculations on contracts; receives W4s and verifies accuracy and completeness for submission to Central Payroll Bureau.
- Reviews and enters changes to included terminations, salary adjustments, and transfers in the HRIS System as related to regular faculty and staff, contractual staff, students, and Work Study.
- Reviews and verifies New Hire paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Conducts Pre-Offer Checks, Criminal Background checks for Faculty, Regular Staff, Contingent I and IIs, Long-Term Contractuals and Adjuncts.
- Serves as daily backup for front desk coverage.
- Lead representative for HR scanning project with Iron Mountain; verifies invoice submission, organizes active, and inactive personnel records for submission for scanning.
- May provide support to all Human Resources functional areas.
- May participate in HRIS system upgrades and testing as appropriate.
- Creates and files personnel folders for regular staff, Contingent I, II, and student workers.
- Verifies payroll status for regular, contractual staff and work study students.
- Creates and maintains the Bi-Weekly reports for regular employees.
- Works closely with DIT to perform testing before processes can be moved to production.
- Manages the student worker interviews and hire for the HR Office.
- Perform special projects as directed by the Assistant Human Resources Director or Chief Human Resources Officer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
