The Provider Relations Communications Specialist and Trainer position serves as a liaison between UUHP and the provider community, developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
This position plays a pivotal role in influencing and educating providers on the Provider Portal and will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing ongoing communication programs and initiatives for our provider network.
They will oversee communication channels, projects, schedules, and workflows in order to optimize business results and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.

Responsibilities
Develops and conducts training with provider practices and facilities on UUHP Provider Portal.
Implements provider communication activities that support company goals, objectives and strategies.
Writes and produces written communication and training tools for print, web and other communication vehicles.
Assists in provider relations surveys, research projects from initial questionnaires to compiling information.
Partners with other communication departments on cross-functional communication plans and creates content for communications vehicles in support of those plans.
Ensures quality of all communications prior to publication / distribution.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of desktop publishing, intranet communications, and content management.
Ability to work successfully within tight deadlines.
Ability to be detail-oriented, and flexible
Demonstrated advanced written and verbal skills.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects from inception to post-implementation.
Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management and associates in a professional manner to produce successful outcomes.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and other related communications applications is required.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the provider community and principles of healthcare delivery systems.
Ability to be self-motivated with effective time management skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving abilities.

Qualifications
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications an equivalent discipline, or the equivalent knowledge acquired by work experience and training.
Three years of experience in the healthcare industry with specific focus in provider or payer relations, provider or payer contracting or communications.
Two years of progressively more responsible communications experience.
Valid driver's license.
Qualifications (Preferred)
Preferred
Knowledge of the health care industry is strongly preferred.
HTML knowledge / experience.
Graphic design experience (Photoshop, InDesign).
Knowledge of and experience with insurance plans.
