Job descriptionSafety glasses and hearing protection is required and provided. Safety shoes are required and are to be purchased by the employee. Must be able to lift 40+ lbs. repetitively. Must be able to stand the entire shift. Position requires bending, stooping, stretching and reaching. High school diploma / GED preferred. Effective communication skills. Self-starter and well organized. Experience in a manufacturing facility. Basic knowledge of computer use. Flexible to perform multiple job functions and duties. Forklift certified preferred and or experience operating a forklift
Duties and Responsibilities of Forklift Operator
1st and 3rd Shifts available
- Will be able to pass a Stand Up Forklift Test
- Will be required to use a Stand Up forklift to move products around the warehouse and loading and unloading
- Take initiative and be proactive
- Read and understand shop orders, production schedules and follow written or verbal instructions
- Meet and exceed company's expectations (safety, quality, production)
- load and unload products on trucks or in the warehouse
- Report issues to maintenance as needed and make supervisor aware.
- Pick and pull orders
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations and maintain housekeeping throughout shift
- Must be punctual
