NOT A REMOTE POSITION :
TMG's Director of Training and Development is responsible for the leadership, management, and implementation of TMG's Training and Development programs and resources. The role involves working closely with TMG's Executive Committee and its department heads to understand, create and deliver a holistic approach to training TMG-specific systems, processes, and TMG's culture such that TMG delivers high-quality consistent service to its customers and all stakeholders. TMG's Director of Training and Development is tasked with implementing and maintaining an approach to training and development that uses contemporary technologies and methods that result in a best-in-class learning experience that is effective and viewed by the industry as best practice. The objectives and responsibilities of this position will be accomplished via the leadership and management of direct staff, through personal hands-on efforts, and through the coaching, mentoring, and training of management and third-party educational resources.
Responsibilities
- To work closely with TMG's Executive Committee to define and provide the required knowledge needed for existing and new people to function effectively with TMG's systems, processes, and culture (i.e. : the TMG Way). This includes a rigorous approach to training on how TMG's workflow (TMGPC) and financial systems (VISTA) are used, along with a variety of other subjects such as culture (TMG ethics, MPV, conflict management, dispute escalation / resolution, etc.), safety, ICS infrastructure, etc.;
- To keep TMG's staff current with the body of knowledge that is required to function as a best-in-class leader in the niche markets that TMG pursues;
- To manage and further develop the intellectual infrastructure that supports the growth and development of the people in the TMG organization who are seeking to better themselves;
- To work with subject matter experts to create and / or update training collateral;
- To manage the system of documenting training and education that keeps our employees current with regulatory, client, and TMG-required education and continuing education requirements;
- To lead and manage TMG University to deliver training in a comprehensive manner that includes : web-based learning (TMG-U and other 3rd party sources); classroom and small group training; mentoring, coaching, and other forms of formal and informal learning;
- To work with TMG HR and TMG's leadership collectively to understand, measure, and develop the intellectual capacity of its employees and the collective knowledge of the organization;
- To stay connected to the AEC industry to identify and stay current with new and evolving technologies, processes, and practices.
