Community Managers are generally required to have completed a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or an equivalent degree. A background in social media and previous client experience are definite assets. Most companies look for applicants with up to three years of content management and creative content publishing experience.  
  
Community Managers should also work on having a thorough knowledge and understanding of community metrics and analytics, search engine optimization (SEO) techniques, and a demonstrated ability to interpret website traffic.   
  
Other benefits for Community Managers include skills using relevant software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and social media platforms. They should also have excellent written and oral communication skills.   
  
This position may require a driver’s license and access to a vehicle to attend events or meet with clients.
