The Automotive industry has been growing steadily for years now, and with it, so has the demand for professionals capable of repairing and servicing cars and other vehicles. There are plenty of job opportunities for Mechanics in the labor market. Aspiring Mechanics must first attend a specialized course at a vocational school or any other recognized institution to start their career in this profession. Courses often include a theoretical portion, as well as supervised practices. It should be noted that most people entering these courses possess pre-existing and often self-taught knowledge of vehicle mechanics.

Once they have completed the course, Mechanics may find jobs in workshops, auto dealerships, or car rental agencies as a Mechanic apprentice. After obtaining enough years of experience working as an apprentice and displaying good levels of responsibility, reliability, and professionalism, they may be assigned more duties and become head of a team of Mechanics.

Many Mechanics choose to take further studies to specialize in specific parts of motorized vehicles or particular brands. Some vehicle manufacturers, such as BMW, Porsche, and Ferrari, have their own schools where they train Mechanics to work with the intricate designs of their automobiles.
