Pharmacists are licensed professionals who are responsible for medication management across Canada. Pharmacists work closely with their patients and health care providers to distribute the necessary medicine and information they may need.

Pharmacists are an integral part of the health care system, and their roles and responsibilities revolve around medication. It means that they are in charge of giving patients the proper doses of medication prescribed and keeping them informed about side-effects and how they work overall. Additionally, they can advise patients about over-the-counter solutions for ailments such as cold sores and rashes.

Pharmacists are a trusted source in terms of the dosing, quality, and quantity of various medications. If a patient has any questions, a Pharmacist should provide them with the information they need.

Besides the distribution of medication, Pharmacists are also responsible for providing additional information to patients such as smoking cessation, cholesterol management, and blood pressure measurement. They are also able to administer flu shots when in-season, which improves accessibility for at-risk populations.
