One essential contributor of a research laboratory team is a Quality Control Technician. They are in charge of various tasks and responsibilities such as the organization and maintenance of lab tools and equipment, data recording, and ensuring efficiency and accuracy when conducting scientific experiments and research.

Quality Control Technicians can take on a wide range of roles within the laboratory team, depending on their area of expertise. They may work in several branches of scientific research and development, such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. They may also belong to the Forensics field, Cosmetics, Manufacturing, or Pharmacology. Depending on the area, these technicians may work independently or under the direction of a professional.

Quality Control Technicians operate sophisticated test equipment and use advanced computers to track and monitor data. They run regular inspection checks and carefully document the results. These highly trained professionals also conduct several quality tests during each phase of the manufacturing process, inspecting raw materials and equipment parts received from suppliers. The job also demands an administrative component with written documentation, updating inspection procedures, checklists, and results.
