A Firefighter is a highly trained professional who works to protect their community against fires and other potential hazards and act as a first responder to emergencies. Firefighters work across various cities and municipalities, and becoming a Firefighter involves many different steps, including physical and written exams. It is not an easy job working as a Firefighter, and passing all the requirements can be challenging but very rewarding.  
  
Firefighters work in dangerous situations, and some of their central tasks include extinguishing fires and educating the public about everyday fire safety. The typical role a Firefighter can expect to perform is circumstantial to the situation. However, they must always aim to protect the general public.  
   
Firefighters exhibit strength both physically and mentally. Working as a Firefighter is very demanding, and they must respond to stressful situations in a timely matter. Firefighters work closely with heavy-duty materials and must lift a minimum weight capacity in cases where they must carry victims with severe and life-threatening injuries. They have to be prepared to make life-saving decisions under pressure and encounter stressful situations.

Being a Firefighter is not an easy job, and it requires significant strength, integrity, and bravery to do it well. Firefighters are tasked with challenging roles that put them in life-threatening situations. It is their duty as firefighters to help anyone involved in an emergency, and they must exhibit traits of bravery and courage daily.

Firefighters work as part of a team, and they must collaborate unanimously to provide the best possible services they can. When training to become a Firefighter, some assessments are required to test their ability to operate in a team setting. Strong and effective communication is vital for success as a firefighter as the role and responsibilities rely on teammates working efficiently together.   

  • They are adaptable   
As a Firefighter, you never know what surprises, good or bad, you can expect during your workday. It means that as a Firefighter, you need to adjust to any situation you must face head-on. Firefighters can expect to encounter very stressful or traumatic events, requiring them to exercise proper procedures they have learned in the field.
