Job descriptionSupervise daily shipping activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products. Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues. Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and documentation for all outbound shipments. Monitor shipping performance metrics and implement improvements. Oversee the receiving process for incoming materials and supplies. Verify accuracy of shipments against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies. Ensure proper storage and handling of received goods. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts on site and off-site warehouse. Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to ensure inventory availability. Supervise and train shipping, receiving, and inventory staff. Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure departmental goals are met. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Maintain documentation for audits and reporting purposes. Identify and resolve process inefficiencies and recommend improvements. High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management in a manufacturing setting. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, UKG). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a warehouse environment. Manufacturing facility with exposure to warehouse conditions. May require standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift. Occasional overtime or weekend work based on operational needs.
