- Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.\n
- Helps to develop programs identified through the Quality Improvement Process and educational needs assessment.\n
- Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental / organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies.\n
- Serves as a consultant / mentor for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.\n
- Monitors in-service and continuing education records of staff members.\n
- Coordinates in-service educational offerings and skill days or fairs.\n
- Coordinates educational updates for "new" products and equipment used in the delivery of patient care.\n

Additional requirements include : \n
- Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.\n
- Bachelors required.\n
- Masters preferred.\n
- Basic Life Support certification is required.\n
