The Container Store Distribution Center Direct to Consumer department is looking for Pickers / Packers and Loading to join our e-commerce team. As a Picker / Packer and Loading , you'll utilize cutting-edge technology and powered equipment to pick and pack orders accurately and swiftly, ensuring that every package meets our high standards. Once the items are packaged, the Loader stacks them into the trucks for deliver to the customer. Your attention to detail will be key as you navigate computer-based programs to streamline order processing and exceed customer expectations. Ability to follow standardized work as it relates to picking, packing and cutting proceduresAbility to consistently meet time-based productivity standardsUtilizes the voice picking system to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficientlyEnsures the correct quantity and quality of items are picked / packed for each order according to established proceduresComfortable working in multi-level picking modules and around conveyor systemsMaintains a safe work area, adhering to safety policies and proceduresAdheres to standardized work as it relates to picking (less than case and full case), packing and cutting proceduresSupports and works in various departments throughout the Distribution CenterAbility to work in a non-climate-controlled environmentMaintains inventory accuracy throughout the Distribution CenterQualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferredProficiency in operating walkie rider and stock chaserExperience working in a highly automated distribution environment a plus.Knowledge of various distribution systems such as labor management system, radio frequency devices and voice picking preferredUtilization of pneumatic tools and the ability to cut metal to precisionA strong sense of spatial awareness to ensure accurate packaging of items efficiently, securely, and in a manner that optimizes space utilizationThis position requires associates to stand 100% of the time and walk approximately 50% of the time with the ability to lift to 47 pounds independentlyProficiency in computer skillsAbility to work independently, efficiently managing picking and packing tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentArrives on time and is prepared to begin work at the scheduled shift time and committed to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needsMakes strategic and effective decisions in the best interest of our customers and our company, taking care to objectively process informationAbility to work within and exemplify The Container Store brand which we describe as matchless, fun, authentic, team-focused, and life-changingThe Container Store promotes a smoke-free, drug-free environment.
