ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Manning, South Carolina.

Job Details :

Work on medical / surgical unit in a rural hospital setting

Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 6

Every other weekend schedule required

Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and data analysis

Provide nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standard practice protocols

Conduct hourly rounds utilizing the 4 P's approach

Utilize standard work procedures for central lines, chest tubes, foley and suprapubic catheters

Manage pressure ulcers, restraints, and high fall-risk patients

Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff

Understand proper storage and safety protocols for medications including large volume IVs and pre-packaged medication kits

Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations

Foster caring, compassionate environment for patients, families, and visitors

Participate in precepting and mentoring novice employees

Contribute to Evidence Based Practices and hospital-system initiatives

Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
