Job description

Senior Insurance Analyst

seeks an experienced, highly accomplished and motivated individual to join us as a Senior Insurance Analyst on our Insurance team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an excellent understanding of global risk management functions, including property and casualty coverage, contractual risk considerations, and claims oversight. They will also be able to analyze data and information to proactively identify and assess risks, and to develop and recommend practical, sustainable strategies to mitigate the company's overall risk profile. This position will report to the Senior Insurance Manager and will be based in our Austin, Texas office.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject-matter expert in collaboration with various teams to advise on insurance requirements, risk allocation, and coverage implications during the contract review process.

Act as a primary point of contact for insurance-related inquiries, owning the assessment of coverage requirements, prioritizing complex requests, and providing clear guidance to internal and external business partners.

Manage end-to-end annual insurance renewal process of various lines, including the management of data collection from the organization, completing an application and presenting the overall submission to the insurance broker and internal business partners.

Full ownership of global incident reports, claims and coordination that may be needed.

Maintain and revise different Risk Management documents for all foreign entities, including certificates of insurance, visa certificates, purchase orders, and other local policies ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Partner with Finance to ensure the policy premium payments are made timely, recorded accurately, and align with policy terms and internal controls.

Drive initiatives aimed at improving the effectiveness, scalability, and maturity of the company's risk management and insurance programs.

Own and maintain insurance-related content and guidance on the company intranet, ensuring information is accurate, current, and useful to business partners.

Liaise with IT-Security, Real Estate, Facilities and HR teams on a recurring basis to mitigate insurance gaps and various risks of rapidly growing business.

Skills/Competencies

5+ years experience in an insurance/ risk management environment (broker/carrier/or in-house), and well-versed with enterprise risk management platforms (i.e., Origami Risk).

Excellent technical understanding of applying insurance coverages, the ability to interpret policy language and provide practical guidance to partners (Employers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Cyber Liability, Public Liability, etc).

Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

High degree of business acumen to clearly communicate with all levels of management in a dynamic work environment.

Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.

Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting.

Ability to prepare and deliver written and oral presentations.

Travel 5% of the time.

Salary Range Transparency

Austin 105,000 - 152,000 USD per year.
