Student (Future Professional) Advisor Role
The Future Professional Advisor is essential in creating and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment in the school. He or she acts as the liaison between the management team and the student body. He or she is a coach and an accountability person for the students (Future Professionals) throughout their time in school, and helps to keep them on track with their requirements for attendance, academics, and overall school performance. All school and student programs are monitored by the Advisor. He or she maintains consistency with the school's polices and systems, provides support for students and staff, and game plans for improvement when necessary.
What We Are Looking For
While the Future Professional Advisor is not a professional counselor and cannot counsel Future Professionals on issues that require a professional agency or licensed counselor, the ideal candidate will have a strong advising and / or education background. This position requires passion, strong organizational and communications skills, a high level of commitment, and the ability to guide and motivate others.
Career Services Leader Role
A Career Services Leader supports students and graduates in their job placement efforts by providing career coaching, organizing recruiting events, and coordinating career fairs. They build relationships with employers to create hiring opportunities and assist students with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. In addition to career services, the advisor also performs administrative duties such as recording grades, tracking attendance, and offering academic coaching to help students stay on track toward graduation.
What We Are Looking For
Provides career planning and marketing strategies to assist students with the career development process, including obtaining information on companies, opportunities for employment and hiring practices, and making the transition from school to career. Initiates contact with potential employers to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students and alumni through counseling, online assistance, and workshops. Plans and hosts career fairs and on-campus recruitment / hiring events to support Future Professionals.
