Shift : Varies

Job Schedule : PRN

Salary Range : $17.00 - $25.50

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as a vital caregiver to residents in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your role will require knowledge of and adherence to infection prevention policies and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Key responsibilities include :

  • Assisting residents with essential daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Obtaining and documenting vital signs.
  • Offering psychosocial support and personal care.
  • Assisting with transfer, repositioning, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Facilitating daily dining experiences and supporting residents during meals.
  • Documenting care-related observations and communicating changes in resident condition to the nursing staff.
  • Supporting wellness and recreational programs and encouraging resident participation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience as a nursing assistant in long-term care is preferred.
  • Must hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the State Board of Nursing or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of employment.
  • Completion of annual continuing education (minimum of 12 hours) is required.
