The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides compassionate, hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health needs in residential and community settings. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life by supporting daily living activities, personal growth, and community inclusion.
No experience? No problem, on-the-job training is provided to help you succeed and feel confident in your role. If you have a caring heart, a positive attitude, and a desire to make a difference, we’ll teach you the rest!
Positions are available in the Butler, PA area.

Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with IDD and / or behavioral health needs in a respectful and person-centered manner.Implement and monitor Individual Support Plans (ISPs) to help clients reach personal goals and develop life skills.Support daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household maintenance .Administer prescribed medications safely in accordance with training and physician instructions.Foster community integration through participation in recreational and social activities.Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, incident reports, and medication logs.Ensure a safe living environment by performing safety checks, reporting repairs, and supporting emergency procedures.Provide emotional support using effective communication, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.Attend all required trainings and maintain compliance with agency and state standards.To qualify, you must have :
No prior experience required — we’ll train you!Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform tasks such as walking, bending, and climbing stairs.High school diploma or equivalent required.Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.Willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to work locations.Must pass a background check, drug screen, and TB test .Available Shifts :
Monday - Friday , second and third shift.Commitment : Some weekends and holidays are preferred for availability.Please note : Pay is dependent on shift and flexibility. Travel up to 30 minutes may be required.
