Position Summary :
The Senior Associate of Asset Management will be an integral member of a collaborative asset management team, working closely with ownership and internal groups such as finance / accounting, property management, construction management, leasing brokerage (internal and third-party), and lender partners. This role supports the execution of strategic objectives, business plans, capital improvements, and overall investment goals.
The Senior Associate will initially focus on implementing and enhancing core operational processes within our asset management platform for a designated portfolio of properties in the Chicagoland region. This role will play a key part in driving consistency and efficiency across the portfolio while supporting broader investment objectives. This includes participating in all phases of the asset management process—from acquisition through disposition—while ensuring performance optimization and value creation.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with in-house departments to develop and finalize annual business plans, budgets, and other key asset management projects.
- Serve as a liaison between asset management and internal / external teams—including property management, leasing, marketing, legal, and construction / project management.
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation, presentation, and review of quarterly reporting to investors, lenders, and owners.
- Develop and maintain property valuation models and investment analyses to support informed decision-making and achieve investment objectives.
- Contribute to asset valuations, dispositions, acquisitions, due diligence, and development activities as required.
- Support the negotiation and execution of property-level agreements—including leases and amendments—ensuring alignment with approved guidelines and corporate policies.
- Work closely with marketing to update and standardize marketing collateral for consistency and quality.
- Perform pro-forma lease analysis for prospective transactions.
- Guide newly executed leases through the lease administration process ensuring the timely and accurate processing of deal information.
- Ensure loan agreement compliance, while coordinating with lender partners to process capital expense draws and disbursements.
- Accompany Asset Management colleagues on property visits and market tours when requested.
- Build and foster strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, partners, brokers, and vendors to ensure seamless execution and mutual success.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation : $80,000-$100,000
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; preferred fields include real estate, finance, business, accounting, economics, or a related discipline.Experience : Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate or finance, ideally with an investor, property manager, brokerage firm, or financial institution.Technical Skills : Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills and experience with real estate financial modeling (ARGUS) is preferred.Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.Organizational Ability : Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Leadership & Initiative : Demonstrated ability to take ownership of assignments and execute with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.Collaboration : Ability to work independently and thrive in a team-oriented setting, fostering strong relationships across functions.Professional Attributes : Highly motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to excellence.Licensing : Must be willing to obtain an Illinois Real Estate Broker License within 90 days of employment.Benefits :
