Seattle, WA (Hourly W2; Hybrid)

What we are looking for :

Our financial services client is undertaking a Lending Platform Project (LPP) and Mortgage Lending Origination System (LOS) modernization effort. These initiatives will introduce new solutions, data paths, and ETL tools that impact how data flows into and across client systems. The Finance Data Mart (FDM) relies on this data for regulatory and financial reporting , requiring continued data integrity and accessibility during and after these platform transitions.

The Business Analyst - Finance Data Solutions plays a critical role in supporting the continuity of FDM data flows, ensuring all data sourcing, mapping, and transformation processes align with the new cloud-based systems. This role will serve as a bridge between Finance, IT, and project teams , gathering requirements, validating data, and ensuring that all end-use reporting needs are met.

What you will do :

  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to analyze and document data requirements for FDM continuity during the Lending Platform and LOS implementations.
  • Support the development of ETL processes from new cloud platforms into the on-premise Finance Data Mart (FDM).
  • Create and maintain data mapping, data flow diagrams, and documentation to support regulatory and financial reporting use cases.
  • Conduct and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for FDM data validation and reporting continuity.
  • Review technical and process documentation and ensure alignment with overall program goals and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to validate data quality, transformation logic, and business rule application.
  • Advocate for the Finance Data Solutions team's needs within the LPP and LOS programs.
  • Support data automation strategies, integration design, and performance tuning for reporting datasets.
  • Participate in design sessions to ensure technical solutions align with business requirements and FDM standards.
  • Assist with change management, ensuring impacted business units are prepared for data and process transitions.
  • Maintain detailed records and version control for data interfaces and transformations.

What makes you a good fit :

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst working with business applications and data integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts , data flow design, and relational database structures.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.
  • Experience with project methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications .
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and regulatory reporting requirements preferred.
  • Availability for occasional after-hours support and on-call response as needed.
  • Experience or familiarity with the following is highly preferred :
  • Snowflake - Cloud data warehousing and analytics

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) - Data pipeline orchestration
  • Python - Data processing and automation
  • SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) - Legacy ETL processes
  • SQL Server - Data querying, transformation, and validation

  • Compensation, Diversity and Benefit Information :

    The pay range for this position in Washington is $50-$55 / hr. W2 plus benefits; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
