American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in New Haven, Connecticut.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU role requiring an active CT or compact license and trauma center experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours) 19 : 00-07 : 00, with every other weekend coverage required
  • Average nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3
  • Floating is required to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed
  • Level I Trauma Center with large hospital environment
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Responsible for delivering advanced critical care to ICU patients in a high-acuity, busy environment
  • May be required to assist during natural disasters or emergency response activities
  • Modules and orientation provided prior to and at start of assignment
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Auto-approved RTO up to 7 days is permitted
  • Parking available for a monthly fee
  • Scrub color or dress code requirements not specified

  • Active CT or compact RN license required or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (1.5 years may be accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience)
  • Trauma center experience at a large facility required
  • One professional reference required
  • Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted; COVID-19 vaccine with booster required (exemptions only for medical / religious reasons)
  • Must not reside within 75 miles of the facility location
  • Not eligible if employed by the facility within the last 2 years
