Job Title :  Medical Technologist / MLT – OR

Location :  Lexington, OR

Schedule :  Full-Time |  Day Shift

Salary Range :  $28.08 - $31.77 per hour (Starting)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated  Medical Technologist / MLT  to join our laboratory team in  Lexington, OR . The successful candidate will perform a variety of  clinical laboratory tests  to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering the opportunity to work in a close-knit community hospital with a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in the areas of  hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, and blood banking .
  • Operate and maintain  laboratory equipment and analyzers .
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
  • Follow established  quality control  and  quality assurance  procedures.
  • Participate in  maintenance of laboratory records  and inventory management.
  • Assist with  patient specimen collection  as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with  physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals  to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Comply with all applicable  regulatory standards  including  CLIA  and  OSHA .

Qualifications : Education :

  • Required :  Associate’s Degree in  Medical Laboratory Technology  or  Medical Technology , or equivalent.

    • Experience :

  • Required :  Previous experience or internship in a  clinical laboratory setting .
  • Preferred :  1+ years of experience as a  Medical Technologist / MLT  in a hospital or clinical laboratory.

    • Licensure / Certification :

  • Required :  Certification as a  Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)  or  Medical Technologist (MT)  by  ASCP  or equivalent.
  • Required :   Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

    • Additional Skills & Abilities :

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent  communication and organizational skills .
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
