Compliance Administrator
As per current corporate policy, you will be required to be in the office four (4) days per week (Mon Thu).
The position will require occasional travel (up to 25%) (with potential / occasional overnight stay required) to attend Public Information Meetings and Special Master Hearings.
Job Summary : The primary responsibilities of the Compliance Administrator are to provide support to the Land Acquisition Principal and assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable condemnation (Eminent Domain) statutes.
This position is also responsible for supporting and assisting the Location Coordinators with the coordination and execution of location committee meetings and providing general assistance to the Land Acquisition team.
The position is located at Georgia Power Company's corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia and is subject to the company's hybrid work policy.
Education Requirements : A high school diploma is required. A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree is highly preferred.
Experience Requirements :
- 1-3 years of administrative experience required
- Legal, real estate, and / or tax experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
General understanding of real estate, condemnation law, and / or tax matters. Must be able to learn them quickly if no direct experienceKnowledge of software platforms and websites such as LIMS and GSCCCA. Works closely with and provides general assistance and support to the Land Acquisition & Compliance Manager, Land Acquisition Document & Compliance Team Lead, Location Coordinators, and Land Compliance SpecialistProvides status updates on parcels subject to condemnationUtilizes software to reflect accurate deadlines and expected completion datesSupports location committee meetings and / or witness prep meetingsProvides assistance with public info meetings and condemnation hearingsCoordinates with title companies and appraisers to ensure due diligence documents are obtained in a timely mannerFollow up on marketing survey results and helpline / email box inquiriesEnsures accuracy of fee simple and / or tax form documentation and submits same to Property Accounting DepartmentCoordinates with Land Research, Land Engineering, Legal, Region External and Power Delivery DepartmentsParticipates in Public Information Meetings on an as-needed basisBehavioral Attributes :
