Job descriptionDesign, fabricate, and modify a wide variety of precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Inspect and verify dimensions of finished tools using precision measuring instruments such (e.g., micrometers, calipers, optical comparators). Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety procedures. Precision Machinist Apprenticeship Proven experience as a Tool Maker with a strong understanding of machining principles and practices. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings . Expertise in operating a variety of manual and CNC machine tools. Strong knowledge of various metals and materials used in tool fabrication. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Relevant technical training, apprenticeship, or certification is highly desirable.
