Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 30 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Title : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location : Boone, NC Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (18 : 30 – 07 : 00); Every other weekend required Job Responsibilities : Perform all aspects of respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, airway management, and ventilator management. Assess, plan, and implement respiratory treatments for patients of all age groups. Respond to emergency situations such as codes, rapid responses, and airway management needs. Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to respiratory therapy interventions using the EPIC electronic medical record system. Perform diagnostic testing, such as arterial blood gas sampling and analysis. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Float within the hospital as needed to support various units. Maintain equipment and ensure adherence to infection control and safety policies. Required Skills & Experience : Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Active North Carolina Respiratory Care / Therapy license (required or pending at time of submission). Minimum 3 years of recent respiratory therapy experience. Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AHA-certified). EPIC charting system experience (required). Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently in a community hospital setting. Must be willing to float to other departments as needed. Reliable transportation required. Local candidates within 40 miles of the facility will not be accepted.
