Base pay range

$115,000.00 / yr - $130,000.00 / yr

Our client is hiring a General Manager to lead all food and nutrition services operations at a respected academic medical center in Washington, DC. This role will oversee retail dining, catering, and patient meal services, while driving innovation, compliance, and team leadership in a unionized healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day operations, including patient dining, retail food, and catering services.

Lead and develop high-performing teams within a union environment.

Foster positive client relationships at the executive level (C-suite interaction).

Achieve and maintain regulatory compliance, including HACCP and food safety.

Develop and execute strategic and financial plans to drive growth and profitability.

Ensure accurate reporting, payroll, and cash control documentation.

Monitor and drive high-quality food and customer service standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare food & nutrition management.

Experience managing unionized staff.

Strong supervisory and leadership background.

Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

Proficiency in computer systems, report management, and operational tools.

Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
